PORTLAND, OR : Pedestrian hit killed on SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy road closed both ways on Saturday, 27th January 2024

A pedestrian was hit and killed in the Bridlemile Neighborhood in southwest Portland on Saturday evening, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

At about 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Highway 10 and Southwest 56th Avenue. Police said they found a man dead at the scene who had been on foot. The driver had also waited for police at the scene.

During the investigation, Southwest Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway was closed in both directions between Southwest 56th Avenue and Southwest Shattuck Road.
