A 65-year-old Wellington man died from injuries he sustained Wednesday morning in a rollover crash at State Road 7 and Lake Worth Road, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.
PBSO identified the man as Robert Krottner, who was driving a 2019 Tesla S model.
The crash happened at about 7:30 a.m. and involved three vehicles, the sheriff’s office said. Two other people were taken to hospitals with minor injuries.
According to a sheriff’s crash report, Krottner was driving south on State Road 7 and was trying to make a left turn onto Lake Worth Road.
He did not yield as he crossed into the path of a northbound 2004 Jeep SUV, driven by Michelle Concepcion, 40, of suburban Lake Worth, the report said.
Krottner’s Tesla struck the left front of the SUV, then overturned and crashed into a second vehicle, a 2007 Ford Explorer driven by Michael Dellinger, 56, of suburban Greenacres that had drive out of a parking lot.
Both Concepcion and Dellinger sustained minor injuries, PBSO said in its report.
