One driver is dead and another injured after a two-vehicle crash early Tuesday in the town of Greenfield.

A pick-up truck driving east on Hwy. FO at Yanzer Road about 5:25 a.m. appears to have crossed the center line and collided with a car traveling west, according to the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of the car died at the scene. The driver of the truck is hospitalized at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.

There were no passengers in either vehicle.

The names of those involved are being withheld pending notification of family.

The sheriff’s office and Wisconsin State Patrol will reconstruct the crash to determine the cause.
