A man is dead after a car crashed into a tree in Northeast Charlotte. This happened on Eastway Drive around 1 a.m. and officials are saying this morning speed was a factor.

The Kappa Sigma Fraternity at UNC-Charlotte has been suspended following the death of 20-year-old Polly Rogers. She's the student who fell out of the emergency window of a charter party bus and was hit by two vehicles. We'll tell you where the investigation stands into what exactly happened on the bus leading up to her death.
