Ocala, FL : Car crash results in death of 45-year-old man on Sunday, 8th September 2019
The name of the victim who died as the result of a three-car crash on U.S. Highway 441 north of Ocala early Sunday has been released by the Florida Highway Patrol.
Pablo Ismael Fernandez, 45, of Ocala, was identified as the victim in the crash that occurred at 3:30 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 441 and Northwest 95th Street, according to an FHP news release.
The intersection is about eight miles north of Ocala.
The release states Fernandez, driving a 2001 Honda Accord , was traveling west on Northwest 95th Street approaching the highway and “continued traveling into the northbound lanes of U.S. 441” as a 2015 Jeep Renegade driven by Eddie Lee Woodward, 58, of Jacksonville, with passenger Angela Delores Cabell , 61, also of Jacksonville, traveled north.
The Honda and the Jeep collided and the Honda then continued across the grass median into the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 441 and collided with a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Monica Ann Miller, 28, of Ocala, with passenger Amiya Pickens, whose age was given by an FHP official as 7 weeks, also of Ocala, according to the release.
