Runaway Bay, TX : 1 flown from Runaway Bay wreck on U.S. 380 in front of the entrance to the Runaway Bay Golf Club and Resort on Sunday, 27th January 2019

Multiple people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck in Runaway Bay Sunday afternoon. According to preliminary information, the wreck happened around 3:15 p.m. on U.S. 380 in front of the entrance to the Runaway Bay Golf Club and Resort. Two ground ambulances and a helicopter ambulance responded to the scene, which shut down U.S. 380 in both directions. Multiple patients were transported by ground ambulance to Wise Health System in Decatur and one was flown from the scene to an out-of-county hospital. Both passenger vehicles sustained major front end damage, and one patient had to be extricated by firefighters. More information will be posted as it is available.
