Columbus, OH :U.S. 23 reopens near Scioto Downs after crash on Monday, July 6th 2015

U.S. 23 has reopened near Scioto Downs after a serious crash involving a semi-truck earlier Monday.Just before 10:30 a.m. Monday Columbus police were dispatched to a crash on U.S. 23 hear Rowe Road.Dispatchers said a semi and another vehicle were involved in the crash.According to police, the driver of the vehicle that hit the semi was seriously injured. He was transported to Grant Medical Center.The driver of the semi-truck told police that his trailer was empty at the time of the crash.
U.S. 23 was closed in both directions for multiple hours but has since reopened.
