New Liberty, KY : 22-year-old Carroll County woman dies in crash on Tuesday June 24th 2014

A Carroll County woman has died after being involved in a single-vehicle crash on June 24.

According to Kentucky State Police, Samantha Mowery-Griffin, 22, was traveling north on Highway 355 around 3:00 p.m. when the right side of her car went off the road and into a ditch.

The car then hit the edge of a driveway and rolled several times before coming to a rest in a field. Mowery-Griffin was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Owen County coroner.

A small child was also in the vehicle and was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
