LINN COUNTY, IA : Authorities identify bike rider hit and killed in Saturday car crash on Sunday, 26th December 2021

Authorities released the name of the bicyclist who was hit by a car and killed on Saturday.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office said 76-year old Terry Zabortsky of Walford, Iowa died in the crash on Linn Benton Road, north of the Linn County and Johnson County line.

Deputies said a 2017 Ford Escape was driving northbound on Linn Benton Road when the driver hit Zabortsky, who was riding his bike northbound.

Zabortsky was pronounced dead at the scene.
