A woman and an infant were injured and transported to a hospital after a downtown crash Tuesday morning.
Crews responded to a car crash at Sixth Street and Dakota Avenue around 8:20 a.m.
The car was T-boned by an SUV at the intersection and spun off to the side. The car drove through a red light and was then struck by the SUV, according to Sgt. Tarah Walton.
Walton said both the woman and the infant appeared fine but were being taken to the hospital as a precaution. Extrication was required for the driver.
Authorities were interviewing the driver of the SUV, and he didn't appear injured.
Traffic was closed off on Sixth Street between Minnesota Avenue and Main Avenue for a short time after the crash.
