Saxeville, WI : One person killed, another injured as car hits trees in Waushara County on Sunday morning, June 12, 2016

One person died and another was hospitalized after a car crash Sunday morning in Waushara County, police said.

Dispatchers received a 911 call shortly after 7 a.m. about a single-vehicle crash on 26th Road southeast of Waushara County W, according to the Waushara County Sheriff's Office.

Two males were found in the vehicle; one was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Neenah.

The vehicle appeared to have struck several trees, the sheriff's office said in a press release.

Emergency responders at the scene were still investigating what time the crash occurred, but they believe it happened early Sunday morning.

No names were released.

This was the first fatal car crash in Waushara County in 2016.
