Shoreham, VT : Teen suffers severe injuries after crash on Route 30 in Cornwall on Monday, February 29, 2016

A Shoreham teen is recovering from severe injuries after crashing her van earlier Monday afternoon.

Alya Christensen, 17, left the road and slammed into a tree as she traveled north along Route 30 in Cornwall Monday.

Vermont State Police investigators have not determined what led to the crash or if alcohol or drugs played any role.

Responders on scene say Christensen was the only person in the van.

State police say she suffered a severe leg injury.
