A Georgia teen was killed and three more sustained critical injuries after a single-vehicle wreck in Jackson County on Thursday evening.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2018 Chevy Impala driven by 18-year-old Isiah Elijah Peavy, 18, of Donalsonville, Georgia, was traveling westbound on State Road 2 in the area of Gordon Road when it traveled onto the north shoulder of the roadway.
Peavy then overcorrected, the FHP report said, causing the car to cross two lanes before overturning and colliding with two trees.
A passenger, 16-year-old Lytodd Dewayne Wolfe Jr., of Colquitt, Georgia, was killed in the crash.
Peavy and two more passengers, 17-year-old Shamal Shandrez Hopkins and Tyrec Glenn, all of Donalsonville, sustained critical injuries. They were flown to Southeast Alabama Medical Center for treatment.
None of the teens were wearing seatbelts.
Charges are pending, the report said.
