Marianna, FL : One died, one injured in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday night, February 22, 2017

A 47-year-old died in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday night and his teenage passenger is in critical condition, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened late Wednesday. According to FHP, Garry Michael Morris, 47, was driving north on County Road 169 near State Road 2 when he crashed into a culvert. The car then flew into the air and crashed into utility wires and tree branches. When the car hit the ground, it then turned over.

Morris was pronounced dead. His passenger, 18-year-old Jonathan Eric Malloy, was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

An investigating is ongoing.
