The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating following a deadly crash on interstate 26.
Authorities say on Wednesday, March 23 at 12:35 a.m., Randy Snell, 33, of Summerville, was driving west on I-26 near mile marker 200 when his sedan ran off the right side of the roadway, down an embankment, and struck several trees.
We’re told he was pinned in the vehicle and was extricated by the fire department.
Snell was pronounced dead on the scene. He was wearing a seat belt. His death was ruled accidental. This is the 10th traffic fatality in Berkeley County in 2016.
