Maple, WI : Ashland teen killed in crash on Highway 2 near Olson Road in Maple on Saturday morning, August 16, 2014

A 19-year-old Ashland woman was killed after a car she was riding in crossed the center line and collided with a logging truck in northwestern Wisconsin, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office reported. The crash, reported at 5:14 a.m. on Saturday, occurred on Highway 2 near Olson Road in the Town of Maple, which is about 20 miles southeast of Superior. The woman was a passenger in a westbound Ford Focus driven by a 43-year-old Ashland man. The eastbound logging truck was driven by a 51-year-old Maple man. Neither driver was hurt, but a 29-year-old woman who was riding in the truck was hospitalized, the sheriff's office said. Source : Ashland teen killed in crash with logging truck
