Roanoke, VA : Man dead after single-vehicle crash in Rockbridge County on Wednesday September 14 2016

A Middlebrook man died in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday in Rockbridge County, state police said.
A 2015 Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling on Maury River Road, west of U.S. 11, when it ran off the left side of the road and struck several trees, Sgt. Rick Garletts said.
The driver, Timothy Alan Whitesell, 52, was taken to Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Lexington, where he later died.
Garletts said Whitesell was wearing a seat belt.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
