A man was arrested following an Oklahoma City police chase that ended in a crash.
Officers said they observed a blue Chevy pickup driving at a high rate of speed on North Everest Avenue and Northeast 20th Street. The driver blew through a stop sign. Police tried to make a traffic stop, but the truck but it sped off.
A pursuit ensued and eventually the driver lost control, crashing the truck near Interstates 44 and 235. Police said the driver crawled out and was arrested. The passenger had to be extricated by paramedics and was transported to St. Anthony Hospital.
Officers reported that the driver, identified as Corey Wilbert Cobb, was driving with a suspended license, and that the truck had illegal tags.
Cobb was taken to Southwest Medical Center with a laceration above his left eye and a small brain bleed. He was released to the custody of the hospital until he is well enough to be booked into jail.
