Clay County , FL: Teen critically injured in hit-and-run involving stolen car on Monday Evening ,July 6th 2015

The Florida Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Matthew Maloney was critically injured in a hit-and-run Monday evening.
Clay County deputies say the driver of the car was Eric Roenisch.
Deputies say Roenisch stole a car from the Burroughs family earlier that night.
That family says he took off with the car after a test drive.
“When they came back, my dad said ‘let’s leave it there and make sure it doesn't overheat’ and walked inside -- and when he came back it was gone,” said Lisa Burroughs.
Deputies say after Roenisch took off with the car, he drove down Blanding Boulevard where he hit Maloney.
The Burroughs family is shocked.
