POLK COUNTY, FL : 1 hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 27 and Patterson Road on Thursday, 28th February 2019

One person was hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash in Haines City on Thursday morning, police said.

The accident, which involved a tanker, a car and a Subaru Legacy, happened at the intersection of U.S. 27 and Patterson Road at about 5:30 a.m.

Police said one person was rushed to Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Two northbound lanes of U.S. 27 will be closed until the crash investigation is complete. The westbound lane of Patterson Road is also shut down.
