KINGMAN, AZ : Three reported missing apparently died in crash in Hualapais on Tuesday, 20th November 2018

The search for three people missing on a trip to the Hualapai Mountains ended tragically Tuesday.

According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, search teams located the vehicle described in an investigation that began over the weekend. The bodies of the three were found with the vehicle.

The two men and one woman found dead have been identified as James Keel, 66; Nancy Walker, 62; and Ebert Johnson, 61. Their hometowns were not listed.

Late Saturday, the people were traveling to the Hualapai Mountain Resort and from there were to be on mountain trails. They were traveling in a black 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara, according to previous reports. The vehicle was discovered around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.


According to the sheriff’s office report, it appears that the driver lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway in an area of steep and rugged terrain, then landed several hundred feet down into a canyon.

The investigation is ongoing.
