A single-vehicle crash left one woman dead in King William.
The driver of a 2008 Ford Escape lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road while she traveled south on Route 30 approximately half a mile south of Old Footpath Road. A trooper responded to the crash a little before 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to a Virginia State Police news release.The vehicle struck a couple trees and the driver, Erin W. Hall, was ejected from the SUV. The 18-year-old King William resident was pronounced dead at the scene. Hall wasn’t wearing a seat belt. No other passengers were in in the vehicle, according to the release.
The crash is under investigation, the release states.
