Woman charged in motorcycle crash that killed Merrill man

An Elkhorn, WI woman has been charged in connection with a motorcycle accident that killed a Merrill man in September.
Benjamin Guite, Sr., 50, of Merrill, died following a Sept. 13 crash on Cty. L in the town of Nokomis. According to investigators, a motorcycle driven by Lynette A. Haman, 50, of Elkhorn was southbound on Cty. L, when she made a left turn in front of Guite's northbound motorcycle. Guite died Sept. 18 at a Wausau hospital from injuries suffered in the crash.Haman, who was injured in the crash, has been charged in Oneida County Circuit Court with homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. An initial court appearance is set for Nov. 18.
