Oklahoma City, OK : Woman hit, killed by car near NW 26th Street and Portland Avenue on Friday, Sep 4, 2015

A woman is dead following a hit and run crash in Oklahoma City.

The accident happened near NW 26th Street and Portland Avenue around 4 a.m. Friday.

The driver stopped a short time later and walked back to the scene, police said.

She is now in custody.

The victim is a woman in her 30s who lived in this neighborhood, police said.

She died on the scene.

Officers have closed a block of NW 26th Street while detectives investigate.

This is the third fatal hit and run in Oklahoma City in a week.
