Jefferson County, CO : Multi-vehicle crash ends in car aflame on Interstate 10 in Jefferson County near Gator Country on Tuesday, 21st August 2018

A second multiple vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 10 in Jefferson County near Gator Country Tuesday, Aug. 21.

According to a press release by the Department of Public Safety, initial reports indicate that a commercial motor vehicle was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 followed by a 2009 Suzuki passenger vehicle. The driver of the Suzuki rear-ended the 18-wheeler. After the impact, the Suzuki was engulfed in flames.

The driver of the Suzuki, 25-year-old Chelsey Richardson-Davis of Dickinson, Texas, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Her injuries did not appear to be life threatening.

The driver of the 18-wheeler, a 33-year-old male from Houston, was not injured.

All eastbound traffic lanes of Interstate 10 were closed for about an hour, but have since reopened.
