The Delaware State Police says a 71-year-old woman is dead after a fatal motor vehicle crash in Milton.
The Delaware State Police on Tuesday identified the woman as Ann M. Enders of Georgetown.
State Police said in a statement that on Monday around 3 p.m. Enders was driving on Sand Hill Road and stopped at a flashing red light at the intersection of Gravel Hill Road. State Police says the driver of a Chevrolet Suburban was approaching the intersection and had a flashing yellow light when for unknown reasons Enders entered the intersection. The Suburban's driver tried to break but struck Enders' car.
State Police say Enders, who was wearing her seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Suburban sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
