Webster,IA : Two recovering after Sunday crash on July, Sunday 2nd 2017

Two people are recovering after suffering minor injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Quail Avenue, southeast of Fort Dodge Sunday night, according to April Murray, Webster County sheriff’s deputy.

The crash was reported at about 6:35 p.m.

According to Murray, the driver of a Dodge Stratus traveling northbound crossed the center line and hit a Buick Le Sabre traveling southbound.

Evan Schmitz, 17, of Fort Dodge, was cited for failure to maintain control.

Gary Williams, of Fort Dodge, was driving the Buick Le Sabre.

The two people that were injured were in the Buick.

Traffic was blocked off on Quail Avenue for at least an hour.

The Webster County Sheriff’s Department, Fort Dodge Police Department, Fort Dodge Fire Department, UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center paramedics, and the Iowa State Patrol were on scene.
