Denver CO : Castle View High School student killed and injured a Douglas County Schools employee in a three-vehicle crash at Castle Rock On Tuesday, September 20th, 2016

A three-vehicle crash in Castle Rock on Tuesday morning killed a Castle View High School student and injured a Douglas County Schools employee, officials say.

The wreck happened about 10 a.m. near the high school in the area of Butterfield Crossing Drive and North Sungold Lane.

The Douglas County coroner’s office identified the student as 17-year-old Kyra Connolly.

Douglas County Schools expressed sympathies to the student’s family in a tweet. Spokeswoman Paula Hans declined to release information about Connolly.
