Panama City, FL : Two dead in 1-10 wreck in Jackson County on Saturday night, February 25, 2017

Two men were killed in a single-car accident Saturday night at 8:49 p.m. on 1-10 in Jackson County.

The driver, Mitchell Lai, 18, of Homestead, Fla., and passenger Hai Tung Lai, 69, also of Homestead, were killed when their vehicle veered onto the north shoulder of State Road 8, according to a Florida Highway Patrol press release. The driver over-corrected, causing the car to spin and overturn several times before coming to a rest on the median.

Two others, David Lai, 19, and Sjui Tho, 56, escaped with minor injuries. According to Florida Highway Patrol, alcohol was not a factor.
