Fort Worth, TX : Crowley woman dies from injuries after 18-wheeler collision on Thursday, November, 23rd 2017

A 25-year-old Crowley woman flown to John Peter Smith Hospital on Thursday after she crashed into an 18-wheeler, died Friday, according to authorities.

Bailie Jackson-Samford was pronounced dead about 12:15 p.m., a news release from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office said.

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers were called to the scene of a wreck on U.S. 287 near Lathan Lane, two miles north of FM 407 in Wise County, about 7 p.m. Thursday, according to authorities.

A preliminary investigation showed that a 2017 Peterbilt truck pulling an empty tank trailer was stopped in a left turn lane on U.S. 287 waiting to turn left, a statement from the Texas Department of Public Safety said.
