Crownsville, MD : Man critically injured in single vehicle crash on Sunday September 27 2015.

A Herald Harbor man who was critically injured Saturday evening in a single vehicle accident on Old Herald Harbor Road, was released from the hospital Sunday, county police and hospital officials said.
Terry Thompson, 49, of the 300 block of Cedar Trail, was driving his white Triumph sportscar north on the road around 7:10 p.m. when it left the right side o f the road, severed a telephone pole and flipped onto its roof.
Thompson, was trapped inside the car and it took firefighters 15 minutes to pull him from the wreckage.He was flown by helicopter to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with critical injuries.
Police said the preliminary cause of the crash was the driver’s failure to keep the car in a single lane and based on witness statements speed and alcohol could involved.
