NEW HAVEN, CT : Pedestrian killed in New Haven crash on Wednesday, 22nd January, 2020

A 55-year-old New Haven man was killed after being struck by a motor vehicle on Whalley Avenue Wednesday night.
At 7:39 p.m., officers responded to 383 Whalley Avenue to investigate a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.
“The vehicle was occupied by the operator who remained on scene,” said Sgt. Shayna Kendall.
The man, who was not identified, was transported to New Haven Hospital where he died from his injuries.
The department said the crash happened on Whalley Avenue between Winthrop Avenue and Norton Street shortly before 8 p.m.
The Accident Reconstruction Team responded to take over the scene.
