Palisade, CO : Semi Rollover Shuts Down Eastbound I-70 on Sunday, July 5th 2015
Eastbound I-70 lanes were closed for several hours Sunday due to a semi-truck that rolled over on its side, leaking gallons of fuel into the road. Colorado State Patrol arrived to the accident at mile marker 44 near Palisade around 5:30 pm to find a single semi truck rolled over to its side, blocking traffic. The Eastbound interstate lanes were closed for 2 to 3 hours while officials attempted to move the truck. Crews attempted to turn the truck on its side which caused the truck to break open.Hazmat was called to the scene due to 30 to 40 gallons of leaking fuel surrounding the truck. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.The driver was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.on Sunday, July 5th 2015
