Tuscaloosa, AL : One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 82 on Thursday, August 10, 2017

One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 82 East in Tuscaloosa County on Thursday morning.

The victim was identified as James Dillon Richardson, 19, of Brent, according to Trooper Reginal King of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Richardson was killed when the 2006 Chevrolet Colorado he was driving collided with a 2017 Freightliner tractor-trailer.

Richardson, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to King. The driver of the Freightliner was not injured.

The crash occurred on U.S. 82 near the 57 mile marker, about one mile east of Tuscaloosa.

State troopers are continuing to investigate.
