Pratt, KS : Man escapes injury in one-vehicle rollover accident Saturday night Oct. 22, 2016
A Pratt man escaped injury Saturday night following a one vehicle roll-over accident at NW 20th Street and NW20 Avenue.
The accident occurred when 64-year-old John Navarro was east bound on NW 20th Street just east of NW 20th Avenue in a 1992 Pontiac Trans Sport, went off the road on the north side, barely missing a concrete culvert, then over corrected and slide across the road and into the ditch on the south side where he rolled one and a half times landing on the drivers side in a milo stubble field, said Pratt County Sheriff Vernon Chinn.
When the wreck was reported at 7:15 p.m. there was no one in the vehicle. Navarro was later found walking north on NW 20th Street about a mile north of the accident. He refused transport to Pratt Regional Medical Center. Following a sobriety test, he was arrested for DUI. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, Chinn said.
