Sioux Falls, SD : 10-year-old killed in crash identified on Wednesday, 24th August, 2016

A 10-year-old boy who was killed in a two-vehicle crash east of Platte Wednesday afternoon has been identified.
Andrew Sybesma of Geddes died after he and two other occupants were ejected from a 2000 Ford Ranger pickup truck that collided with a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee on 376th Avenue, about 12 miles east of Platte, according to a South Dakota Department of Public Safety release. The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m.
The driver of the pickup, a 14-year-old boy from Geddes, and an 11-year-old female passenger from Geddes, had minor injuries. Their names have not been released because they are minors.
The driver of the Jeep, 27-year-old Chandra Dykshorn of New Holland, suffered minor injuries. A 4-year-old male passenger and a 2-year-old female passenger were in child car seats and suffered minor injuries, according to the release.
Sybesma was a student at Dakota Christian School. The school posted this to Facebook after the accident.
