Newark crash killed a 75-year-old driver

Newark police are investigating a crash that killed a 75-year-old driver Friday night.
Police say Dorothy Hershman of Newark was southbound on Library Avenue north of Farm Lane around 10:15 when her car crossed into the northbound lane and hit another car head-on.
Hershman was treated at the scene and taken to Christiana Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The two women in the other car were treated at the scene and taken to Christiana with injuries police are calling serious, but not life-threatening.
Library Avenue was closed from Wyoming Road to Route 4 for about 3 hours after the crash.
