Camden, SC : Midlands man killed in motorcycle crash on Highway 521 north of Camden near the city line early Thursday morning, July 21, 2016

A Camden man is dead after crashing his motorcycle early Thursday morning.

Kershaw County Coroner David West says Leon Moses, 38, crashed around 2:30 a.m. Thursday on Highway 521 north of Camden near the city line.

West says Moses was on a 2015 Suzuki motorcycle and had friends traveling in a car behind him. The friends say when they pulled up to the scene, Moses told them he couldn’t feel his legs, according to West.

The friends went to a nearby home to call 911, but Moses was already dead when paramedics arrived, West says.

According to West, Moses was wearing a helmet. The Camden Police Department is investigating the accident.
