Lauderdale Lakes, FL : Woman dies in Lauderdale Lakes crash Tuesday afternoon on September 30, 2014

A woman was killed in a crash Tuesday afternoon in Lauderdale Lakes, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. The crash happened around 1:13 p.m. Tuesday at Northwest 31st Avenue and Northwest 41st Street. Deputies said the driver of a 2007 Toyota Camry was traveling southbound on Northwest 31st Avenue with a woman in the front passenger seat. At the same time a 2010 Toyota Corolla driven by 82-year-old Charles Gerald was traveling north on Northwest 31st Avenue. Gerald turned left into the path of other driver's car. Deputies said north and southbound traffic had a green signal. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, according to BSO. Deputies said both drivers were taken to Broward Health Medical Center for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and were later released.
