Acworth, N.H : Truck driver airlifted to hospital following Acworth crash on Thursday, September 4, 2014

A truck driver was taken by helicopter to a New Hampshire hospital Thursday after firefighters had to extricate him from a crashed truck’s cab, according to a fire official. The authorities have not yet released the name of the man who was driving the truck, and his condition was unavailable this morning. He was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, Acworth Fire Chief Steven G. Morris said this morning. The tractor-trailer, which was carrying granite, rolled over 1½ times, Morris said. “We were on scene for several hours cleaning up.” The crash occurred shortly before 2 p.m. at the intersection of Luther Hill and Charlestown Road in Acworth.
