Selma, IN : Two people killed when their vehicle struck a tree and caught fire in eastern Indiana on Saturday, February 27, 2016
Two people were killed when their vehicle caught fire after it went off a road in eastern Indiana and struck a tree.
Delaware County Sheriff Ray Dudley told The (Muncie) Star Press that dental records and DNA testing will likely be needed to confirm the identities of the victims of the crash in Selma, six miles east of Muncie.
Authorities were called to the scene about 9 p.m. Saturday. Deputy Joe Krupa says the vehicle was headed southbound when it apparently struck a parked car, then left the east side of the street, traveling at a high rate of speed and hit the tree.
Hahn says autopsies will be conducted at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, likely on Monday.
