HENDRY COUNTY, FL : 15-year-old killed in Hendry County hit-and-run on Thursday, 14th September 2023

A 15-year-old boy was hit and killed by an SUV while riding his bicycle in Hendry County Thursday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), around 7:42 p.m., an SUV was driving along Case Road east of State Road 29 when the teenager was hit.

FHP said the boy was propelled into a ditch. He did not make it to the hospital, and troopers pronounced him dead on the scene.

“I know family the family is a big and prominent family within Labelle,” neighbor Fidel Sanchez said.
