Neskowin, OR : 57-year-old David Kyte died after car rolled over on Highway 101 Near Cascade Head on Wednesday morning, April 1, 2015
Oregon State Police troopers are continuing the investigation into a Wednesday morning single vehicle traffic crash which resulted in the death of a Lincoln City man on Highway 101 near milepost 100.5 in Tillamook County.
Preliminary information from investigators at the scene indicates that this morning, shortly after 6 a.m. on April 1, 2015, a silver Pontiac Sunfire was northbound on Highway 101 near Cascade Head when for unknown reasons the vehicle struck the guardrail and rolled over onto the roadway.
The driver, 57-year-old David Kyte, of Lincoln City, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Early information suggests Kyte was not wearing safety restraints. Heavy rain and speed are being investigated as additional contributing factors in this crash.
OSP was assisted at the scene by the Oregon Department of Transportation, Nestucca Fire Department, Tillamook Police Department and the Tillamook County Medical Examiners Office.
