Buckeye ,AZ : One Child hospitalized after Liberty Elementary School bus and car crash on Friday morning ,April 24 2015

One student was taken to a hospital after a crash involving a school bus from the Liberty Elementary School District and a car on Friday morning.

It happened at Jackrabbit Trail and Fillmore Street.

The student did not appear to have any serious injuries and was transported as a precaution, according to Sgt. Jason Weeks with the Buckeye Police Department.

Sgt. Weeks said the driver of the car collided with the back of the bus at a slow speed. It happened after the driver dropped the child off to board the bus. The driver hit the bus while leaving.

The collision is still under investigation.
