Monessen, PA : Woman dies in 3-vehicle crash in Westmoreland County on Monday, March 13, 2017

A Forbes Road woman died Monday in a three-vehicle crash along Route 819, Salem Township, the Westmoreland County Coroner's Office said.

Tamara Wolf, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner John Ackerman at 2:09 p.m.

The crash happened about 1:30 p.m. near Route 819 and Fire Station Road, according to county dispatchers.

Wolf was driving south on the highway when she crossed the center lane and drove into the path of a flatbed auto carrier truck headed northbound, according to the coroner's office.

Another car then struck the victim's vehicle, authorities said.

No serious injuries were reported among the occupants of the other vehicles, authorities said.

Emergency responders closed Route 819 to traffic for more than an hour after the crash.

The accident was near the Forbes Road Volunteer Fire Department, about three miles north of Greensburg.

State police are investigating.
