SAGINAW, MI : Car crashes after doing donuts in the street on Monday, 10th June 2024

The Saginaw Police Department is looking for a driver involved in a sports car meetup on N. Michigan Avenue from Monday night, June 10.

Officers attempted to stop a vehicle from doing donuts in the back parking lot at 1824 N. Michigan Ave., Detective Sgt. Matthew Gerow said.

The car took off on officers and police didn’t follow. The vehicle, going northbound on N. Michigan Avenue, crashed into another car after it ran a red light, Gerow said.

The vehicle lost control and ran into a telephone pole, splitting it in half and knocking out power to nearby homes and businesses.
