Manatee County, FL : Three people injured in car crash on State Road 64 in Manatee County on Thursday afternoon, May 12, 2016
Three people were injured when one car struck another after failing to yield the right of way Thursday afternoon on State Road 64 in Manatee County, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.
A car driven by Ronald Clayton Uden, 85, of Parrish, was attempting to turn off Rye Road onto S.R. 64 when he struck a car driven by Scott Charles Beatty, 54, of Sarasota. Uden's car overturned and he and a passenger, Phyllis Uden, 80, suffered critical injuries. They were transported to Blake Medical Center.
Beatty suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Uden was charged with failure to yeild right of way from a stop sign.
Alcohol was not involved in the accident, according to the FHP.
