Choctaw, OK : 1,500 without power in Choctaw after semi crash on Thursday afternoon, March 17, 2016

More than 1,000 customers are without power in Choctaw Thursday afternoon after a semi truck crash.

Officials said a semi hit powerlines near Northeast 23rd and Choctaw Road. 1,517 customers are without power.

NE 23rd Street is closed in both directions in the area.

Officials said to avoid the area.
