Manitowoc, WI : 52-year-old Maribel man killed in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 151 in Manitowoc on Saturday night, March 21, 2015

A 52-year-old Maribel man was killed in a one-vehicle crash Saturday night in Manitowoc.

Norman Knuth III was declared dead at the scene of the crash on Highway 151 at I-43 around 7 p.m. He was not wearing a seat belt and died of blunt force injuries, according to the Manitowoc County Coroner.

The driver was the victim's father, Norman Knuth II, 80, of Maribel, who was injured in the crash along with the victim's mother, Audrey Knuth, 75. They were wearing seat belts. The extent of their injuries was unknown.

Manitowoc police investigators determined the vehicle driven by Norman Knuth II was traveling north on I-43 when it exited at Highway 151, and when he couldn't slow the vehicle, it traveled across 151 at a high rate of speed, struck a utility pole and overturned.
