Paterson, NJ : Three woman hospitalized after they injured in hit-and-run crash in on early Monday morning July 7th 2014

Three women were hospitalized after the car they were in was struck by a hit-and-run driver in northern New Jersey.

Paterson authorities say the crash occurred around 12:10 a.m. Monday on Madison Avenue and 10th Avenue.

One woman was trapped in the car and had to be extricated by firefighters.

She and the other two women were taken to the hospital, where they were being treated for undisclosed injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
